Our client is an innovative technology business who due to continued growth seek to hire a Financial Controller. the role will be a No2 role to he UK MD and report into the Group Finance Director based in Europe. The role will be part of the senior management team for the UK business providing financial advice and support to the UK MD, wider finance, HR, procurement and operating teams. Act as a link between Group and local Finance teams pro-actively managing consistency of reporting and future expectations.

Responsibilities will be broad and include:

Ensure timely and accurate month end closing and submissions of the monthly results to Group.

Ability to explain deviations to budgets and forecasts to local (non-finance) management as well as Group

Own analysis of the monthly results along with the preparation of the Executive Summary presentation.

Own STAT accounts and relevant filing for Companies House

Contribute to and review tender documentation including Tender Board presentations

Own annual labour rates calculations for inventory and project costing.

Own the closing process along with managing the closing calendar and coordination of key deliverables to Group.

Ensure all balance sheet accounts are regularly reconciled with reconciling differences investigated, and promptly corrected.

Actively manage all processes/policies which impact the financial data and systems (including but not limited to No PO No Pay, Travel & Living, Employee Expenses, Purchasing Cards, Fixed Assets Management and Disbursements).

Monitor, report, and control Sales, Projects, and Service costs and revenues (Job costing, reviews, and forecasts)

Ensure auditors and tax advisers have sufficient and correct information to allow tax returns and accounts to be produced.

Keep up to date with statutory and regulatory changes to understand their impact on the business (e.g. EU Exit and IFRS)

A salary of £60,000 plus £5k car allowance plus benefits
