One of the UK's fastest-growing employment law firms is looking for a talented Operations Manager to join their team based in Woking.

Practicing exclusively in employment law, they provide their clients with advice and practical assistance on a range of legal issues, such as employment contracts, discrimination, unfair dismissal, negotiated exits and employment tribunals.

Their vision is to become the go-to legal brand for employees for employment law advice, and are looking for a passionate and creative Operations Manager to help them in their next phase.

As their Operations Manager, you will have a critical role within the business, with responsibility for the delivery and continuous improvement of excellent customer satisfaction whilst driving efficiency and productivity and meeting their business plan.

You will be a proven leader and business operator but also have experience of managing change and implementing new solutions that contribute toward the efficient operation and growth of the business.

About the role:
  • Acting as lead on all processes and having a thorough understanding of business operations and underlying processes and technology
  • Taking complete ownership of company-wide projects and programmes
  • Overseeing and managing daily activities of staff, ensuring relevant expectations including KPIs are devised, communicated and met
  • Managing recruitment efforts
  • Procurement and supplier management
  • Strategically managing new and existing relationships
  • Managing and delivering on budgets and growth plan
  • Driving efficiency, productivity and cost savings
  • Promoting a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
  • Assessing and improving the use of technology across the business
  • Responsibility for the project management of new operational rollouts working with various teams to coordinate and drive implementation to successful delivery
  • Keeping estate of offices under continuous review, including location and terms
  • Sourcing new locations and offices
  • Managing offices so that they are kept clean, in line with company brand, and well provisioned

About you:
  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Experience of working in a client-centric business
  • Experience of project management and continuous improvement
  • Working knowledge and experience with contracts and contract negotiations
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Solid understanding of financial management
  • Excellent knowledge of and enthusiasm for all things IT and technology related
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to summarise data into management information
  • Hands-on approach and solutions-based thinking
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities, deadlines and demands
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness
  • Ability to work independently and remain motivated
  • Enthusiastic learner
  • Hands-on approach and keen to 'roll up your sleeves' and get involved
