A UK renowned accountancy practice has been experiencing consistent growth and as a result they require an experienced, self-directed practice accountant to join their Newcastle team. The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic financial advice to a range of client businesses and therefore will be required to think analytically and be commercially aware daily.

The role includes;
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients' accounts and relationships
  • Expanding and expanding existing and new client relationships
  • Work comfortable within set deadlines, providing a high quality of service associated with key client decision makers within small to medium sized privately-owned businesses across the UK
  • Ensure continuous delivery, remaining consistently engaged presenting strategic advice to board/owner level clients
  • Assist in the development of systems in order to identify trends that aid clients to make key financial decisions
  • Reviewing management information & management accounts; Sense checking outputs, identifying trends and providing effective guides for clients

Required skills & experience;
  • AAT Qualified, part/fully qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Proven experience liaising with clients in a similar position
  • Strong background within the Financial sector
  • MUST have worked in an Accountancy Practice for 3 + years
  • Excellent computer skills with good knowledge of Xero/ Cloud Software/QuickBooks and associated apps such as ReceiptBank.

  • A candidate who can communicate with managers within the practice and external clients
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work conscientiously
  • Excellent communication skills within varied environments
  • Organisation skills are essential; Ability to manage staff, handling pressure, managing deadlines and working within deadlines
  • Be forward thinking and committed to the firm's continuous growth
  • Be positive and committed to the firm and represent them in a professional manner reflecting core values when dealing with both staff and clients
