HR Assistant (Graduate / Administrator)

Position: HR Assistant – (Suitable 1st HR role for a Graduate level candidate or experienced administrator)
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire (Commutable from Watford, Luton, Stevenage, Hatfield, Harlow and surrounding areas, plus we are only a short walk from St Albans City train station).

Why work as part of our HR team?

This a great 1st role for someone looking to gain experience within HR, you’ll get to work side by side with an experienced team and support in all stages of the employee lifecycle.

What does your typical day look like?

This is a key support role across the entire group and you’ll get to work with a range of different people across Burtons Biscuits, every day is different, as an example you will be involved in the processing of new starters, providing key reports for the HR Director & HR Manager around the headcount budget, organisational chart updates, leavers etc. You will also provide assistance & support for general HR queries around our benefits schemes, holidays & polices to our current employees.

You will also work closely with the HR Advisor and supporting them in their day to day tasks and assisting with key meetings.

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

You don’t need to be a HR expert to perform in this role, as full support, training & guidance will be provided. What we are looking for is someone who can prioritise tasks, has strong administration and commutation skills, good knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint. This role could easily suit a recent Graduate (you don’t even need to have a HR related degree), it would also suit an experienced administrator looking to move into HR.
