Our client are looking to appoint a new Chair for their Board.

The Chair leads the Board, enabling Board Members to fulfil their responsibilities for the strategic direction and governance of the organisation. The Chair is responsible for ensuring the Board works well as a team, in partnership with the Executive Team, to set and oversee the strategic direction of the business. Acting as ambassador, the Chair works to enhance and promote the company reputation at local, regional and national level, building relationships with key stakeholders. The Chair will promote the highest standards of governance, with the aim of securing the long- term sustainability of the business.

Customer focus, strategic leadership, finance, commercial acumen, social care, social housing, understanding of risk and knowledge of customer and community needs, customer experience, development, ICT, digital, health, audit.

She comes to the business with a great experience base and a real focus on customers which fits perfectly with their new corporate strategy, their Direction (OD3). She will lead an amazing Executive Team who work in close partnership with the Board. This partnership, we know, is key to our ongoing success.

The Board aims to ensure that the succession of the Chair is carefully managed, to enable the incoming Chair, the Board and the organisation to retain its effectiveness throughout this period of change. As part of this process, as outgoing Chair, I have committed to work with the Board to achieve a balanced handover plan that supports the change process.
