Are you an Accounts Assistant with a sound background in accounts payable and Sage products? Do you enjoy working in a busy and vibrant atmosphere within a growing business?

Transparent is currently supporting one of our clients in the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team. This role is being recruited on a full time, permanent basis and will report into the Accounts Manager. This position will have responsibility for the purchasing cycle ensuring completeness of purchase orders, reconciliation of purchase orders and delivery notes and assisting the Accounts Manager with management of suppliers.

In addition, you will be required to maintain the purchase ledger and sales ledger using Sage 200, and ensure that the creditors' sub-ledger is reconciled to the general ledger at month-end. Accruals and prepayments will form part of the role along with processing expenses for third parties.

You will also be required to assist the Accounts Manager with the month-end and year-end duties when it comes to journals and petty cash.

In order to be successful in your application, you will need:

- 1-2 years' experience in a similar capacity

- Good numerical and communication skills

- Sage accounting knowledge

- Good MS Excel experience

- An enthusiastic approach

- Team player
