Environmental Assistant 

Salary: £16,380 - £19,635 per annum 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Location: South Manchester

About the role: 

You will work within the environmental team to support the delivery of a range of environmental projects for our residents and the communities in which we work. 

You will have an understanding of environmental issues relating to Great Places and a commitment to work with staff and residents to help meet Great Places Environmental Objectives. 

About You: 

The successful candidate will have a good educational background with a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent including English and Maths. You will have good knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and interpersonal skills focused on achieving and maintaining effective working relationships. 

It would be advantageous if you have a GCSE or equivalent in an environmental subject accompanied with experience of environmental projects. Working knowledge of key pieces of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements would be beneficial.
