Research Information Manager (Dementia Charity) 

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Research Information Manager 
Location: Flexible across England, Wales and Northern Ireland 
Contract type: Full time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 per week 
Salary: £31,962 to £36,326 actual per annum, depending on location

About the role: 

Alzheimer’s Society is the leading charity for people with dementia in the UK and we have ambitious plans. We've committed to spend £150m on cutting edge research into dementia care, cure and prevention over the next decade and we need your help to reach this ambition. 

The role is based in Research & Development and works across all fundraising teams to understand their information needs, identify new funding and engagement opportunities within our research portfolio and produce creative, compelling content to share with a wide range of donors. You will also work on the exciting UK Dementia Research Institute to develop strong relationships and new ways of working across the six centres and three founding funders. By bringing our research activity to life for fundraisers and donors, this role enables Alzheimer’s Society to deliver real, transformational impact for the hundreds of thousands of families affected by dementia today and in the future. 

About you: 

We're looking for a forward-thinking individual with an excellent grasp of biomedical science and the research process to transform the way we tell potential supporters about our research. 

The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with an eye for detail and a flair for communicating science. Your collaborative, ‘even better if’ approach will enable you to build key relationships within the fundraising directorate and work at all levels of seniority.
