A nursery in Redbourn is recruiting for a Nursery Room Leader to join them on a permanent basis. The nursery is located in a beautiful Hertfordshire village near Junction 9 of the M1 so is easily accessible by car. Due to the location public transport is not as reliable so your own transport for this role is advisable but not essential.

The nursery is surrounded by open fields and wildlife and had a wonderful garden area where the children can explore and get to grips with nature.

You must have excellent knowledge of the EYFS and be comfortable working with a strong team of assistants, nurses and apprentices.

The nursery will provide on-going training and can offer the successful candidate the chance to progress at a pace that suits them as they firmly believe in recruiting from within.

Your responsibilities include:

* Being flexible on the start times of your shifts.

* Be able to cover various age ranges in the EYFS.
* Providing support to newly qualified Nursery Assistants and Apprentices.

You will need:
* A full and relevant Early Years qualification - Level 3 or above (but they will consider level 2 qualifications with suitable experience).
* An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework.
* A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
* To be fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid.
