The Role
We are recruiting a Management Accountant to join our "Meals" team on a permanent basis, based at Saladworks site in Leicester. This role is available due to growth and internal promotion and is a role in which you will be responsible for analysing and presenting key financial & operational data. It is an important and integral role of the Finance team and a position in which you have influence in making critical business decisions in order to ensure business growth and long-term success.

You will be a proactive partner within the business helping to inform and influence key decision making. You will need to be able to keep pace with the fast moving world of food manufacturing and show how financial information can be used effectively to support and influence business growth. You will use your management accounting expertise to fulfil the day to day requirement of the role and also look for ways to add value to your internal business customers.

In further detail your key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing the weekly P&L, and issuing out the pack to the senior management team, as well as head office
  • Producing a wide variety of daily/weekly reports for the operations team - These will include Daily Labour, Material Variances & Stock Management
  • Developing a strong working relationship with the Operations team to identify & analyse variances, within materials & labour, to help drive improvements
  • Monthly reconciliations of Materials & Labour
  • Working with Procurement to ensure all raw material price forecasts are up to date, to help produce and maintain Price Variance & Inflation trackers
  • Cash Flow Forecasting - with the ability to accurately reflect a 12-week forward view
  • Supporting the Senior Management Accountant in Forecasting, Budgeting & other ad hoc project work
  • General day to day accounting responsibilities / projects

The Successful Individual
To be successful in the role, you will have the following required skills, experience, knowledge and qualifications:
  • Proven manufacturing management accounting experience
  • Professional accountancy qualification desirable (ACCA or CIMA) - this can be Part Qualified, Finalist or Newly Qualified level (although this is desirable we are also happy to accept application from QBEs too)
  • Competent in producing accurate financial reports whilst meeting strict deadlines
  • Strong commercial acumen, highly numeric, strong data and statistical analysis and written reporting skills
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating ability to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all levels
  • Computer literate, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, IF statements & Macro functions) and good working knowledge of packages such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Flexible and proactive team player who is self-motivated with a drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
