Diary Manager-A 2 Year Flexible Working Opportunity
Security, Territories and On-going Business:
STO represents HMG’s security interests in negotiations, coordinating work on the Future Security Partnership dealing with negotiations strategy, internal external, national and thematic security matters. The directorate also represents the interests of the Crown Dependencies, Overseas Territories, and Gibraltar in EU exit, ensuring this remains on the Whitehall agenda. The Ongoing Business team manages UK-EU relationship obligations whilst the UK remains a member state. The team also prepares for when the UK will become a third country to the EU.
We are seeking high quality candidates to fill a Diary Manager role. This post is within STO.
The role offers an outstanding opportunity to work in an incredibly fast-paced and diverse working environment at the heart of government, developing your leadership, strategy and delivery skills while working with senior stakeholders across DExEU and Whitehall. There will be plenty of opportunities beyond the role to get involved in other aspects of the unit for a diligent and motivated candidate.
The role provides daily exposure to senior civil servants and decision makers, and the successful candidate will need to possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to manage upwards. You will need to be discreet and act with great sensitivity and integrity, and possess great attention to detail as well as an ability to spot risks and opportunities and react appropriately.
You will have excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to organise your workload effectively while managing several different tasks. You will also be confident in managing the workload and diary of two senior civil servant. You will have excellent communication skills, and be able to build and manage relationships with key stakeholders. You will be a self-starter who is able to adapt to deliver results in an ambiguous and changing environment. You will be a team player and supportive colleague who contributes to wider needs of the team.
