Secondary Religious Studies Teacher required for Secondary School in Bury

I am currently working with a brilliant school in Bury that are looking for a Religious Studies teacher to join them from September 2019 until the end of the 2019/20 academic year to cover a maternity.

The Role...

You will;
  • Be expected to plan, prepare and deliver the Religious Studies curriculum at Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Work closely with the Head of Department to constantly develop and implement themes of work.
  • Set home working and follow the school's policy on marking, providing and delivering pupil feedback
  • Plan and record actions and outcomes in relation to set pupil targets
  • Be a role-model to all pupils through your professional conduct
  • Establish effective working relationships with your work colleagues in the interest of the schools learning community and network.
Person Specification...
In order to succeed as a Religious Studies teacher at this Bury School, you will;
  • Hold QTS in Religious Studies and have a previous record of successfully delivering the RS curriculum up to GCSE
  • Have a genuine passion to work with Secondary aged pupils and drive forward pupil attainment
  • Have experience working within, or knowledge of SEND/SEMH
  • Be able to motivate and inspire all pupils of all abilities
  • Some KS2 experience would be preferable but not essential.
  • Have a sound knowledge and understanding of key issues regarding pupil assessment
