Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with complex needs across key stage 3 and 4 at a special needs school in Bury. The School offers the support for secondary aged pupils both within school subjects and their social and emotional needs.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant would benefit from:
  • Experience in working with children or young adults who display severe or profound learning difficulties, autism and complex learning difficulties
  • Enthusiasm and a caring nature
  • A good work ethic and the desire to support and make a difference

The role of a SEN Teaching Assistant is a far reaching and rewarding career where every day is different with the opportunity to make a positive impact in helping students reach their potential.

You will be required to support the students in a 1:1, 2:1 or in small groups, depending on individual needs, within the classroom under the direction of the class teacher to help to create a stimulating classroom environment.
