The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA)
If you have completed an NVQ, whether it was an NVQ in Early Years, Hairdressing, Health and Social Care or anything else, you will have had an assessor support you. As an Assessor, you'll have the opportunity to pass on all of the skills and knowledge you have developed in your area of expertise, to those who are aspiring to follow in your footsteps.
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement is the most comprehensive assessor qualification that is currently available. It qualifies you to assess learners in their place of work and in learning environments as well. Essentially, this means that upon completion of the CAVA, you would be a fully qualified assessor.
So, whether you need to be able to observe learners in the workplace or assess their vocational knowledge through assignment-based tasks and question and answer sessions in classrooms, the CAVA assessor course would have you covered.
· We train assessors in any industry and anywhere
· Our courses are completely flexible (no start or end dates)
· You receive unlimited tutor support
· We offer flexible payment plans to make paying for your course worry-free
You can find full-time, part-time and freelance opportunities for Assessors online, and it’s not uncommon for Assessors to be able to work from home. So, with the right Assessor job, you can work as and when suits you and your family.
You don't have to quit your current job to become an Assessor. Many assess on top of their other jobs, providing extra income from flexible work. So whatever your commitments, you'll be able to fit your Assessor role around them.
How do I become an Assessor?
Chances are, you’re already half way to becoming an Assessor without even knowing it. There are two things you need to become an Assessor:
- Occupational Competence (experience/qualifications in the sector you’d like to assess in)
- The Assessor Qualification
Your occupational competence can be proven with a number of years’ experience (we normally advise a minimum of 2-3) and ideally, qualifications in the relevant sector. Hopefully, this is something you should already have.
The only other thing that you need is a recognised Assessor qualification. Completing your Assessor qualification with Brooks and Kirk gives you the flexibility to achieve your dreams.
