Job Title: Online Professional Development Support Officer

Contract: Full time, permanent - Starting 1 October 2019.

Salary: £22,400 - £25,000

Location: Cambridge, Triangle Building

What it's about

The Online Professional Learning team is responsible for the development and delivery of online professional training for teachers and school leaders in more than 100 countries.

We don't expect that you will necessarily have previous experience working in our field. We do expect that you'll be highly motivated, organised, with a keen interest and experience in digital technology.

This role will suit someone who is looking to develop their career within a very well-established organisation who can offer them stability and great opportunities for growth and development.

What you'll be doing

The role has two main focuses, supporting the production of our online courses and resources and supporting the sales and delivery of our offering.

Production support
  • Create and maintain courses and resources.
  • Carry out maintenance and updates to Learning Management Systems and Online Learning Portal.
  • Testing of online courses and resources.
  • Produce assets such as images and videos.


Delivery support

  • Answer customer queries relating to online professional development.
  • Answer queries from course tutors related to online professional development.
  • Provide feedback to Cambridge professional development team to assist in process improvement with a focus on customer experience.
  • Commission and contract consultants and external developers for work related to online professional learning.
  • Maintain records and report on all expenditure related to online PD.


What we're looking for

Qualifications
  • Grade C or above in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
  • A Level education (or equivalent).


Skills
  • Expertise in relevant software including Office suite and a variety of web authoring tools.
  • Understanding of LMS (e.g. Moodle and Mahara).
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Organisation and prioritisation.
  • Communication and presentation.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proofreading.
  • Positive attitude, ability to work well under pressure and use own initiative.


Experience

Essential:
  • Carrying out administrative duties using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Producing user guides, process documentation or similar.
  • Organising and facilitating meetings.


Desirable:
  • Developing or using spreadsheets to track budgets and produce reports.
  • Giving presentations to colleagues or external stakeholders.
  • Proofreading.
  • User Acceptance Testing.
  • Using Moodle or other LMS.
  • Using Adobe Suite applications to create assets e.g. images and documents.
