What it's about

The Online Professional Learning team is responsible for the development and delivery of online professional training for teachers and school leaders in more than 100 countries.

The Digital Learning Manager is responsible for implementing the strategy for the online professional development and training of teachers and school leaders by leading the design, production, delivery and maintenance of courses, resources and online communities.

This role would suit a talented and experienced digital educator proficient in using Moodle.

What you'll be doing

Course, resource and eportfolio development and management

  • Leading the design, production and delivery of online professional development for teachers and school leaders.
  • Leading the design, production and delivery of all online features of Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications.
  • Leading the design, implementation and maintenance of improvements to UX across all online learning platforms.
  • Leading the design, implementation and maintenance of online communities of learning that enable teachers to extend their learning beyond their courses.
  • Developing and managing instruments for measuring impact of Cambridge online PD on teaching practice and learner performance.
  • Managing and fostering relationships with third-party suppliers.


Management

  • Line managing three team members including regular meetings, feedback and performance management.
  • Managing adhoc projects involving internal and external agencies/consultants.
  • Managing and continually improving the processes and instruments used to effectively deliver the strategy for online professional development and training.
  • Representing the team on cross-business unit projects related to online learning.


Research

  • Carrying out research to ensure that all products and services are applying the most effective pedagogies and technologies.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to develop innovative and scalable new products and services.


What we're looking for

Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (essential).
  • Post-graduate qualification in teaching/education or related area (desirable).


Skills
  • Expertise in relevant software including Office suite and a variety of web authoring tools.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Project management.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
  • Leadership, negotiating and influencing skills.


Experience
  • High degree of experience of managing Moodle and an understanding of Mahara learning management systems.
  • UX design and methodology.
  • Designing and developing effective online professional development.
  • Managing projects through all phases to completion.
  • Team building and management.
  • Knowledge of international education systems.
