Joining us as a health advisor in our 111 service will provide you with a great opportunity to make a real difference by working for an organisation dedicated to delivering safe, responsive and patient focused service to people requiring healthcare advice and assistance. The 111 service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 a year.

Our Health Advisors are the very first point of contact for all who use the 111 service. Joining us in this role, you will find a busy, friendly environment of likeminded people, dedicated to providing excellent care services. Your entry into the role will be fully supported with a structured training programme, based at the Dorset 111 Hub. Once you have passed the training you will be supported through ongoing supervision and support from senior colleagues, including a team of clinicians.

Full salary of £18,813 pa pro rata will be paid on completion of probationary period. During this period (6 months, subject to review) you will receive a reduced salary of £16,053 pa pro rata. Upon successful completion of the training course and commencement in post, you will receive an enhancement to your basic pay of 20% for night time working, 40% for weekend working and 80% for Bank Holiday working based on your rota.

We are offering 10 hour weekend contracts, in our Dorset 111 Hub. You will be required to work on a relief basis, meaning your 10 hours can be planned at anytime over the weekend so a degree of flexibility is needed. Permanent relief staff will be allocated one rest weekend every four weeks.

Applicants must have a good all-round education and a passion for providing excellent customer service. You do not need to have worked in healthcare before, but should be able to demonstrate good communication skills.

If shortlisted you will be invited to an open evening on Tuesday 23rd July where you will be able to discuss the hours/shifts patterns. After the open evening you will be invited to an interview that will take place on 29th and 30th July 2019

The part-time course will start on the 2 September 2019.
