Job Title: Administrator - Assessment Processing

Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)

Salary: £19,600 - £24,500

What it's about

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator, based within the Vocational Assessment Processing team, in Operations. This role contributes to the efficient and accurate administration of centre approvals, learner entries and OCR Results as well as assisting in a range of tasks that follow the exams processing cycle. The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, be hard working and self-motivated with the ability to learn new skills, systems and processes.

What you'll be doing

Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of a range of tasks whilst adhering to internal processes, meeting deadlines and checking outcomes to comply with agreed quality standards.
  • Highlighting any processing exceptions not covered by working instructions so that the appropriate course of action may be agreed. Report any processing failures in a timely and accurate manner. Reviewing instructions, suggesting improvements to both guidance and process.
  • Supervise temporary staff during peak processing periods and support other administrators within the department.
  • Provide effective input into the review of administration processes Provide a positive and professional service to customers, ensuring enquiries are managed effectively.
    The work could involve any of the following activities:
  • Data entry, manual processing tasks and the associated quality checking
  • Taking responsibility for relevant tasks associated with the exam series
  • Working with both centre staff and assessors to deliver effective solutions for candidates
  • Involvement with the on-going review and enhancement of our systems and processes
  • Provide data to support management reports
  • Dealing with administrative enquiries direct from examination centres and customers
  • Completing User Acceptance Testing, reporting defects and suggesting solutions

Qualifications
  • Numeracy and literacy

Skills

  • Communication - explain ideas clearly and fluently both written and verbal
  • IT - able to use software packages to produce appropriate materials
  • Numeracy - able to interpret data comfortably

Experience
  • Accurate with data when using Microsoft Excel and Word, or other internal systems
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and databases
