Claims Service Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an expert Claims Service Manager to join our Global Corporate and Speciality (GCS) Claims team at Aviva.
This is a London based role with regular UK travel and occasional travel overseas.
Your role will involve working with some of our largest UK and international clients to retain existing business and support internal stakeholders in the acquisition of new business through improved claims service.
You will be responsible for promoting and evolving the GCS claims proposition using your extensive professional expertise to provide customer support services and act as a role model, coaching and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
You will actively pursue opportunities to improve the efficiency of customer and administration processes and procedures to help GCS achieve its targets and the achievement of financial goals.
Duties & Responsibilities Support the development and delivery of the operating plan for the unit within overall department strategy and guidelines Manage relationships with internal and external business partners to find opportunities for service improvement to ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction Assist with the development, execution and ongoing management of relationships with external suppliers, partners or contractors Ensure standards are communicated and implemented to maintain service levels and efficiencies and to meet targets Support projects aimed at system or process improvement at a local or national level to drive continuous improvement of service and engage others through Aviva Brand Values and standards Share learning and standard methodology to add to the overall efficiency of the team Actively develop own capability to improve individual and team performance Follow governance frameworks to ensure risk compliance May be required to lead on
the development, implementation and on- going management of market leading sourcing strategies and ensure regulatory compliance is maintained What skills and experience do you need? Ability to coach and guide less experienced members of own team and wider teams Good understanding of professional standards and codes Detailed understanding of a specific process or product area and ability to translate knowledge and experience into recommendations to make valuable contributions to the business, in line with Systems Thinking principles Experience of managing processes and procedures and maintaining efficient records for the benefit of the business Excellent customer engagement skills to influence key contacts in the business Familiarity with the relevant departmental and company-wide procedures, policies and guidelines Working knowledge of a range of standard computer software e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to utilise them to improve services What will
