Due to expansion, my client is searching for an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in elderly care, to join a warm friendly team to work as Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager in a small private care home in Mid-West Wales

As Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager, you will report to the Nurse Manager and help manage, monitor and oversee both clinical and personal care throughout the home. You will ensure care documentation is up to date and fully meeting resident needs.

Candidates must fully understand and have experience in person-centred care; combined with sound clinical and supervision skills. It is essential you have a current PIN number.

The successful candidate will support the Nurse Manager to ensure the home is run efficiently and is compliant with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

Additional Duties;
  • Plan and deliver Residents care by implementing and evaluating care plans
  • Good effective communication with families, friends and visiting professionals.
  • Prioritise workload. Delegate workload to Senior Care Assistants
  • Supervise and teach junior Staff. Implement and carry out supervisions of junior staff
  • Carry out nursing care to the highest quality standard according to the homes policies and procedures
  • To order procure administer and record medications to the legal standard.
  • Maintain health and safety within the home reporting any concerns to the Management including maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain the dignity respect and individuality of the residents
  • Maintain Safeguarding Policy

The Successful Candidate will be;
  • RGN/RMN registration with the NMC
  • Passionate about caring and willing to develop skills further
  • Friendly and supportive
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to build relationships within the team of other Nurses and Carers within the Nursing Home
  • Ability to be patient and keep calm under pressure

Hours & Pay
  • 40 hours per week
  • Day shifts only
  • From to £18.00 p/h
  • Possible assistance with accommodation if required
