The Rosalind Franklin Institute is looking for an experienced HR Assistant to work with the Office Operations Manager, providing effective and professional Human Resources services to the business.  You will be a ‘hands-on’ individual with excellent attention to detail, and will be happy to contribute to wider business areas at the Franklin, working alongside other administrative staff.

Job Description

  • Placing Job adverts
  • Arranging interview schedules
  • Administering HR related documentation such as preparing employment contracts, contract amendments, preparing ad hoc letters
  • Assisting with inductions and the on boarding process for new starters
  • Scheduling HR related meetings
  • Taking minutes during HR meetings
  • Experience in dealing with a wide range matters of a highly confidential or commercial nature
  • Working closely with operational and academic staff.
  • Attending interviews to make sure company processes and procedures are followed and we meet legislative requirements
  • Updating information on the HR system and ensuring records are complete and up-to-date
  • Working with the Executive Assistant to complete additional administration tasks as required

Person Specification 

  • Experience as a HR administrator or working towards a CIPD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly organised, able to work under pressure
  • Experience of working with people from an academic environment would be an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • The ability to autonomously gather relevant information required to complete tasks
  • Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
