Accounts Assistant

Location: Newmarket

Salary: £18,000 - £20,000p.a. dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (1hr for lunch)

Duties:
  • Accurately inputting of incoming monies onto an excel spreadsheet
  • Sales and purchase ledger
  • Assisting when required in credit control
  • Posting bank and cash reconciliations
  • Handling general account enquiries from franchisees and clients
  • General administration within the accounts department

Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in an accounts department
  • Experience of Sage software packages or similar would be advantageous
  • A keen willingness to learn
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with other team members, franchisees and customers
  • Ability to follow procedures methodically
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good computer IT skills, ability to use MS Excel, Word and Outlook and the use of computerised data entry systems
