Salary: £31,761 - £38,113 per annum

About the role: 

Reporting to the Business Analyse Manager, the Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring all projects are fully scoped; including the capture, analysis and documentation of business requirements. 

The Business Analyst will work with business stakeholders in order to understand the structure, processes, policies, and operations of the organisation, and to recommend solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its goals and to drive forward the delivery of IT solutions throughout the Great Places Housing Group. 

You will be responsible for the project management of solution design, implementation, upgrades and integrations and building and maintaining effective relationships with the Project Sponsors / Business Area leads to deliver the solution according to the objectives and requirements. 

The Business Analyst will be required to review emerging technologies and systems for potential use within the business and will successfully identify and highlight key risks to projects and take action to minimise and prevent those risks occurring. Working with an ICT trainer they will design training manuals and course for business applications as well as organising and delivering workshops, conducting interviews to gather information on the business needs and the modifications and improvements that are needed as part of business development projects. 

About You: 

The successful candidate will have experience of a wide range of modern ICT business systems. You should have excellent verbal and written communication and be a confident communicator. 

You will have experience of delivering and managing projects and of Project Management or Business Analyses tools. You will be able to write functional specifications and produce test plans / scripts and manage User Acceptance Testing as well as analysing and redesigning business processes. 

The ability to quickly comprehend complex business processes and people issues across the organisation along with the ability to build relationships across the business at all levels of seniority and to manage, challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure the correct solutions are delivered. 

It would be beneficial to have a Project Management or Business Analyses qualification or the equivalent experience. ITIL Foundation level qualification and experience of managing or working on software development projects would also be beneficial to the role. 

It would be advantageous if you have written and presented business cases to senior management including cost / benefit analysis and experience of software development life cycle. Knowledge of or an interest in the House sector and the current housing sector environment would also be desirable. 

Although not essential if you have a driving licence and are a car owner it would be desirable.
