Electromechanical Engineering
An innovative manufacturer of a variety of bespoke products in the Electromechanical Engineering field, my client are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to oversee clients in the United Kingdom, with opportunity of working with clients based in Europe. The successful candidate will be required to visit both existing and prospective client sites, building and maintaining client relationships. Specific involvement with D.C contactors, disconnect switches and relays is of benefit, as is a background in fields that they operate in, including materials handling equipment and mobile telecom infrastructure. Main duties:
* Establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with customers, combining sales skills with technical knowledge
* Searching for new clients/markets for our products in a designated region
* Travelling to visit potential clients
* Managing and interpreting customer requirements, and providing in consultation with the client's Technical team suitable solutions.
* Persuading clients that our product will best satisfy their needs
* Working with clients to specify our products and the most cost effective solution for their application
* Liaising with members at head office to arrange quotation and delivery support
* Offering after-sales support and services
* Analysing costs, quotations and sales
* Preparing reports and market information for head office
* Recording and maintaining client contact data for head office
* Coordinating and manning exhibitions
* Attending trade shows, conferences and other trade events
* Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client requirements

Skills and Experience required:
* The applicant will have a proven track record in Technical Sales of electrical products
* Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering (torque bearings on brackets, etc.)
* Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering (circuits, Ohms Law, etc.)
* Familiarity with markets that include Electric Vehicle, Telecom, Marine or Automotive sectors would be vastly beneficial, although a full experience in these distinctive markets is not necessary.
* Background in Engineering would be advantageous
* Computer software, including Microsoft Office products.
* Training will be given for in-house ERP System
