LB Recruit is working with a great client in the construction industry to find a Finance and Commercial Assistant. This is a great role for someone with a Finance and Admin background, who is looking for a role which involves both. Working hours are 8:30am - 5pm, however my client is flexible to part time working and flexible hours.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Processing CIS sub-contractor invoices
  • Assisting Finance Manager in all matters
  • Managing NVQ / apprenticeship programme - liaising with training organisation, tracking progress etc.
  • Managing staff training records and programmes - booking courses (health and safety updates for example).
  • Gathering and uploading H&S documentation to various industry accreditation online portals (i.e. tool box talks).
  • Assisting construction managers with administration, i.e. preparing variation order documents for submission, preparing manuals (contents provided by others)
  • Personal assistant to Company MD - organising and booking events, travel, accommodation etc.

Requirements for the role:
  • Must have Sage experience and preferably CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) experience, although latter is not essential.
  • Must be fluent on all Microsoft packages particularly excel (also word and outlook).
  • Industry experience would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Must have a Finance background.
  • Due to location, need to drive and have access to a car.
