ROAR are a registered charity based in Macclesfield. The charity is a not for profit support in the community organization offering users a safe, secure and stable environment in which they can tackle their addictions and personal issues.

The role will focus on growing the organisations unrestricted income, particularly from legacy giving, corporate partners and individual giving.

You will devise and implement a fundraising strategy including corporate sponsorship, individual donors, legacy giving, visitor giving, major funding bodies, campaigns and appeals to support the organisations activities. You will be the face of the charity within the community raising awareness and money to find the project.

Duties will include:
  • Setting and executing a fundraising strategy
  • Working to fundraising targets
  • Networking with local businesses to promote corporate sponsorship
  • Running social media channels to raise awareness within the local community of the charity and events
  • Organising of events and advertising them locally to gain participation and sponsorship
  • Building links with celebrities and well know members of the community to raise awareness and generate interest
  • Taking ownership for filling out funding applications and bids
  • Sourcing contracts by working with the local healthcare community and in particular issues around mental health, homelessness, domestic violence and education.
  • Being active at local community events

THE PERSON:

This is a stand-alone role and is a great opportunity for an experienced Fundraiser looking for autonomy and a chance to make the role your own.

You will need excellent communication skills, self-motivation and a pragmatic approach along with the ability to go that extra mile.

You will ideally have experience of all aspects of fundraising including events, corporate and volunteer management.

LOCATION: Whilst the charity is based is Macclesfield, you will work remotely from home and often be out raising awareness of the charity within the community. You will need to travel to the Macclesfield office EVERY Wednesday and Friday morning for meetings.

The salary is circa £25,000 for the right person.
