We are a growth business and as we grow, recruiting the right people is essential, currently we have an opportunity for a Product Manager - Electric Vehicle Enablement (UK&I and RoW).

  • Location: Office Windsor (UK), with both UK and global travel as required

The Role

The role will be accountable for managing the Electric Vehicle product which Centrica provides to its business customers.

The role will work as part of the Global Product Management team to support the UK&I and ROW regions. The role will be accountable for product strategy, new product management and in life cycle management as well as supporting business development activity.

Focus on product management activities specifically on:

Product Strategy

  • Analysing the markets to identify sources of value
  • Assessing how this value can be accessed and which differentiated capabilities can achieve this
  • Prioritizing product management activities to achieve maximum value for DE&P

New Product Development

  • Commercial innovations and commercial structures including financing
  • New technologies or enhancements to existing technologies

Product Life-cycle Management

  • Tracking of product performance
  • Life-cycle management through launch to enhancements and retirements

The Person

Key competencies required to carry out the role competently and effectively:

  • Market knowledge: Have an in depth understanding of electric vehicles and preferably energy markets
  • Commercially minded: Able to build, assess and improve business cases and financial profiles including innovative approaches
  • Technologically astute: Knows the technology sector and the electric vehicle technical landscape
  • Creative: Able to innovate and to instigate and assess new ideas
  • Customer Centric: Put the customer at the heart of decision making
  • Organised: Able to coordinate and drive people to a common goal

The successful applicant will have experience in:

  • Commercial management: Experience at defining commercial structures for complex deals
  • Electric Vehicle market understanding: Has experience in electric vehicles including hardware, software and financial components
  • Business case development: Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills - can identify, size and explain a business opportunity
  • Customer centricity: A great understanding of how to understand and think through the customer experience in new proposition development
  • Innovation: Launched products known for innovation, customer centricity and commercial growth
  • Collaboration: Experience at working in multi-function teams to deliver complex solutions and influence senior level stakeholders
  • Stakeholder management: Able to keep technical, commercial, finance, legal, marketing, operational teams on track with the development phases, meeting project deadlines and budgets


  • Degree level qualification in any discipline or equivalent (essential)
  • MBA (desirable)
  • Product management qualification (desirable)
