Quantity Surveyor – Returners
We recognise that there are times when you may need to take a break from your profession. Trying to return to work after time out can be tough and daunting. Have you taken time away from work for a period of 12 months or more? Would you like to join our Quantity Surveyor 'Returners' programme?
You may never have considered a career on the railway before - we aren't an employer purely for engineers. We have opportunities in almost every career path where we can offer you long-term career prospects with flexible working that will suit you and your family.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will provide pre and post contract commercial support to the delivery teams. Assist in the preparation of estimates for works and input cost and quantity information into the estimating systems. You will also undertake valuations of work, prepare project budgets, final accounts and assist in the preparation of tender, pricing and contract documentation.
We ask that you are either studying towards / have obtained an MRICS qualification or are degree educated with some experience of a similar role.
Our returners opportunity is a 12-month fixed term role. We are looking for talented people from all backgrounds to join our journey and move us forward by having a rewarding career, the right lifestyle balance and great benefits in a caring environment.
Network Rail welcomes applications regardless of age, disability, marital status (including civil partnerships), pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, transgender status, sex (or gender), employment status, trade union affiliation, or other irrelevant factor.
