Contract: Permanent

Salary: £23,000-£30,000

What it's about

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic team player to support the work of the Communications and Training - Exams Officers team as the Communications Support Coordinator - Exams Officers.

In this newly created role, you will have a key part to play in producing and delivering high quality communications and guidance for exams officers on time, and working with a range of colleagues across the organisation in the process.

The Communications Support Coordinator - Exams Officers will join a successful team that is committed to improving the support we offer exams officers.

What you'll be doing

1. Plan, draft and send communications to exams officers, e.g.
• Newsletters
• Targeted emails relating to specific issues

2. Support the Communications Manager to manage the production of the Cambridge Handbook, and other print and online materials to make sure they are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

3. Manage the production schedule for exams officer materials, e.g. administrative forms, factsheets, guidance materials

4. Lead discrete projects, often including interdepartmental teams as directed by the Communications Manager - Exams Officers to improve the communications and training we offer.

5. Support the Training coordinator role with communications and provide occasional support for external training events

What we're looking for


Educated to A level or equivalent experience

  • Excellent communication skills (including proofreading and editing
  • Ability to write engaging materials for a wide variety of audiences
  • High level of accuracy
  • Time management
  • Ability to work confidently under pressure
  • Organisation skills
  • Capable of working effectively as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Preparation of documentation, including letters (complaint responses) and emails.
  • Working within large organisations; working within a team.
  • A good awareness of the global education sector - with an understanding of the political, educational and other factors impacting on the contexts in which an awarding organisation works.
