Compass Associates are excited to be working with a family-run, Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' provider of children's education, residential and fostering services to recruit a Supervising Social Worker to be based in the Nantwich and Crewe areas.

You will work both independently and with colleagues to recruit your own caseload of Foster Carers via creative methods such as attending job fairs, community groups and utilising social media. As you build up your caseload of up to 15 Foster Carers over your first 1-2 years, the need for recruitment will gradually decrease as you will then work with the same Foster Carers throughout their time providing placements.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week where you will be based from your own home and visit the looked after children who are placed with your Foster Carers. You will be responsible for monitoring each child's progress, making sure care plans are being met and school attendance is satisfactory. Your role also involves working with the Foster Carers to make sure they are well supported and working with the wider fostering team which includes other Social Workers, Team Leaders and Therapists. Although working independently, you will have continuous phone and face to face support from 3 x Team Leaders and 4 x Supervising Social Workers.

You must be able to work flexible hours as home visits may need to be carried out on evenings or weekends when Foster Carers are working during weekdays.

Commutable from: Nantwich, Crewe, Stoke on Trent, Northwich, Winsford, Sandbach, Congleton, Tarporley, Knutsford, Macclesfield and surrounding towns.
