Concierge/Receptionist - Part Time 27.50 per week (with some flexibility) - Manchester City Centre - £9-£10 per hour - Permanent Job

NC Associates are working on behalf of a prestigious management company who are recruiting for a Concierge/Receptionist to join their well established team in the heart of Manchester City centre.


Safety of Clients - Ensuring that the building is kept as a safe place for clients and colleagues.

Security of Building - Carrying out the management procedure for opening up and locking up (if required) and daytime operation to keep the building secure.

Monitoring CCTV - For the building that you are in and our other buildings, monitoring CCTV and taking appropriate action in the event of any suspicious incidents observed.

Reception Duties - First point of call to clients, welcome guests, distribution of post, taking telephone queries and emails/enquiries from clients and suppliers or maintenance contractors.

Concierge duties for buildings clients - Helping with bags, holding door open, ordering taxis etc.

Building maintenance and repairs - Routine checks for maintenance - first line check in the event of problems prior to calling out contractors. Keeping appropriate records on spreadsheets and other documents, including records of time keeping for contractors and cleaners.

Housekeeping - Keeping the reception area, the common parts and the area around the perimeter of the building clean and tidy, including daily checks for rubbish and graffiti.

Fire Evacuation Procedures - Including running fire drills and carrying out evacuations and weekly tests.

Assisting Buildings Manager - Administration and purchasing of regularly ordered provisions for common parts eg light-bulbs and toilet provisions.

Occasional out of hours security - Lock up or client call out for assistance.

Personal appearance - All concierge must be properly and professionally dressed.

Buildings without concierge service - Where concierge is responsible for our buildings that do not have an on-site concierge service, those buildings must be regularly checked for security and housekeeping purposes. When required, concierge should provide remote liaison with clients and maintenance contractors.

Unauthorised persons - Ensuring where possible that all persons wishing to enter the building are identified clients or persons on legitimate business whose authorisation can be verified.

Record keeping - Written records are to be kept which contain details of all building patrols, visits, incidents and other significant items.

Computer skills -Knowledge of basic computer skills is required, to include use of emails, word and excel spreadsheets.

Character - Cheerful, reliable, trustworthy, eager to help and please, personable, well mannered, professional, well presented, quick learner, flexible, good personnel/motivational skills, good computer skills, self-motivated and a team player.

Hours of work - Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 9pm or work on a 3:30pm to 9pm one week, followed by

07.00 to 12.30 the next week rota.
