Papworth Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team based in Haverhill. You will be working on a part time, permanent basis (22.5 - 30 hours per week). In return, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £8.21.

This role will suit any person aged 18+ who is able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

The Support Worker role:

We provide care and support for four adults within a supported living service. Support Workers will promote independence and choice, supporting customers with everyday life skills such as domestic duties, accessing community facilities and pursuing hobbies.

What we're looking for in our Support Worker:

- Experience of supporting adults with a learning disability, autism and epilepsy.

- Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of a 24/7 Rota.

- Good written and verbal communication skills, ensuring that you are easily understood.

- Empathetic and good team player, committed to improving others' quality of life.

- An ability to support and encourage others in developing skills, such as preparing meals and domestic duties, promoting independence and personal development.

- Provision of personal care and support with dressing and toileting as appropriate.

This role requires strong inter-personal skills to ensure that you are able to clearly communicate and understand our customers who have their own communication needs.
