Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the Director of Procurement in delivering the overall Procurement Strategy for the Bank
  • Ownership of overall spend for relevant Executive Committee member
  • Partner with the business to take the role of trusted commercial advisor on all matters relating to third parties.
  • Lead on related negotiations with suppliers to ensure savings are achieved and value for money and efficiencies are secured for the business.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers that contribute to capacity and capability development, enhance control of the supply chain, process improvement and promote a partnering approach to managing contracts
  • Deputise for the Director of Procurement when required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
  • Prior experience of managing C-suite and senior relationships with confidence and gravitas to influence and challenge appropriately.
  • Extensive senior procurement/commercial experience
  • Excellent commercial skills and experience in sourcing a broad range of good and services
  • Evidence of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies
  • Exceptional negotiation skills demonstrated by successfully leading big deals
  • Highly emotionally intelligent with outstanding stakeholder and supplier management skills
