Accounts Payable Clerk
Accounts Payable Clerk Part Time-28 hours per week (Ideally Monday- Friday) Circa £17,000 per annum Stevenage, Hertfordshire We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the IET family! As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be joining our small, friendly team to assist in the smooth running of the account payable department The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of accounts payable functions including VAT and experience in processing expenses. Day to Day Responsibilities (summary) Processing of supplier invoices ensuring purchase orders are obtained where relevant. To assist business colleagues with invoice payment queries. To perform weekly BACS payment run's ensuring processes are adhered to. Providing cover and assistance to all members of the Accounts Payable team including, credit card and members' expenses. Monthly review of supplier statements, chasing for missing documents. General accounts payable administration including filing, reconciliations and record maintenance. To undertake any other duties and projects at the request of the line manager. Key Skills Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English GCSE Grace C or equivalent Demonstrable experience in all aspects of Accounts Payable functions including foreign VAT Logical approach to problem solving with an ability to progress enquiries and problem to logical conclusion Time management skills and self-discipline Ability to work as part of a team Good communication skills Excellent attention to detail A can-do attitude Flexibility around hours to provide cover for other members of the team A Basic Disclosure check which will be conducted at the start of employment and then every two years.
