The role

With our incredible tutor community at the heart of our offering, we've begun work to support their first career steps. This journey starts in education, working on the country's teacher recruitment crisis by helping our tutors in their journey to becoming teachers. We plan to build this out with other strategic partnerships, offering our tutors opportunities across a range of industries.

Having recently been awarded our first contract in this space with the Department for Education (DfE), we need support launching this new business vertical, managing the account, executing on the campaign and onboarding new partners. It's a wide-ranging role, involving relationship management, sales and marketing, testing out new initiatives and product evolution. As it's such an important new step for us as a company, the role will report into both our Head of Tutors and one of our co-founders.

This is a new offering for MyTutor, so the initial opening is for 6 months starting ASAP. There's the opportunity to develop this into a full-time role if we see there is a long-term opportunity in this space.

What you'll do
  • Relationship Management: Effectively manage and nurture our relationship with key stakeholders at the DfE.
  • Campaign delivery: Support the execution of our initial 6 month campaign; manage the planning, implementation and evaluation across multiple channels to achieve key client goals. This includes organising and coordinating events, webinars, emails, content and training campaigns.
  • Content Creation: Plan and create a rolling content plan working with internal team and external partners to ensure it's compelling and insightful for our target audience.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with our product team to raise awareness of our careers partners and develop our tutors' relevant skills through our training academy.
  • Refine our value proposition: Work to evolve our value proposition in the careers market. Join our co-founder at pitches and help create meeting collateral to present to prospective partners.
  • Data & Insights: Work with our tutors to collect relevant data and insights on their career goals. Track & optimise each campaign performance, delivering results and recommendations to the leadership team.
Our ideal candidate
  • Experience: You have at least a year of experience in a customer facing, ops or marketing role. Experience in the student or graduate sector is useful, but not essential.
  • Understanding: You are passionate about MyTutor's social purpose and values. You have spent time before meeting us researching what we do and why.
  • Entrepreneurial: You feel a strong sense of ownership over your goals, focusing on outcomes vs output. You have commercial awareness and good resilience - building something new can be tough and intense.
  • Life-long learner: You have a thirst for learning - hungry to understand our business, receive developmental feedback and embrace change.
  • Effective communicator: You can build deep relationships with clients and communicate effectively (written and verbal) across multiple teams.
  • Problem solver: You can find creative ways to address business challenges. You are analytical and value the use of data to inform these solutions.
  • Project management: You are highly conscientious, organised and capable of seeing ideas through to completion.
