This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Administrator to provide a range of services to an active Church in the centre of Rhiwbina village.

The role involves a variety of duties including:
  • Weekly administration relating to Church life - preparing weekly notices, orders of service, and external notice boards
  • General administration - setting up and maintaining filing systems, monitoring and ordering supplies, managing annual subscriptions to magazines, prayer handbooks/diaries, setting up and maintaining database of Church members, producing annual directory, preparing rotas
  • Booking management - first point of contact for all booking enquiries for use of the Church, Whittaker Lounge (coffee shop) and Canolfan Beulah (community centre), maintaining lists of existing users, preparing schedule of users, managing bookings, raising invoices, recording cash payments
  • Providing ad hoc support to different groups within the Church - communications group, social group, Junior Church, outreach/fundraising group

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Computer literacy including spreadsheets, databases, and bespoke software
  • Accuracy, attention to detail
  • Customer service - liaising with, and balancing the needs of different groups both within the Church and external customers
  • Outstanding organisational skills - accuracy, attention to detail, excellent time management to deal with time sensitive tasks

Full training will be provided. Whilst guidance will always be available, this is largely a standalone role and requires the ability to work unsupervised. Given the nature of the role, sensitivity and confidentiality is essential.

Working hours : 15 hours per week - 09.30 to 12.30 per day - working 5 days out of Monday - Saturday (some flexibility to vary hours and work from home on occasion).

Salary: £9500 (fte £24k)
