About the role: 

As our Business Insight Manager, you will be our go to for in-depth category and shopper insights, both at a micro and macro level, for the Greeting Cards and Gift Packaging industry. You will analyse category / segment performance using available customer, consumer, shopper and macro-environment data / insight sources. A pro-active, self-starter your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

- Be our go-to person for an in-depth understanding of the consumer and greetings industry, providing tangible meaningful information from the latest insights. 
- Business Partnering the Marketing and Creative to build strategies. 
- Maintain and develop insight toolkits to develop a data driven decision making and self-service culture, to enable you to focus your time on value added tasks. 

About you: 

Experienced in Category Management, you understand the importance of tailoring your message to your audience. Adept at translating complex data into simple visuals, bringing to life the stories / insights that will influence commercial value. 

Working with internal stakeholders, you will get to know the functions and strategies, but more importantly their people. Through your strong relationships and knowledge of the teams, you will help them to focus on asking the right questions in the pursuit of solutions. 

This is a hands-on, varied role ranging from working with presenting to large groups of people, conducting surgery style drop in sessions to maintaining trackers and daily reporting, you will be committed to all aspects of your role. To be successful you will need to demonstrate you have: 

- Strong analytical skills; particularly analysing the markets, drawing out insights and making connections to build long term category plans and have a minimum standard of intermediate Microsoft Excel. 
- Experience working with insight providers and creating long term category plans. 
- A high level of commercial acumen, a challenging mindset and can adapt to a rapidly changing market. 
- Strong presentation skills and are confident building internal and external relationships. 
- Relevant market experience and understand the dynamics of multi-channel shoppers. 
- Experience working with Market and Category data – Kantar / Nielson / IRI / Dunhummby. 
- Proven experience in Category Management or similar function within FMCG or Major multiple retailer.
