What it's about

Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International) delivers assessments to schools and learners worldwide. We operate in 160+ countries and every year hundreds of thousands of candidates take our assessments. Part of the Operations Division, the Compliance Group are responsible for the development and delivery of processes and activities that safeguard the security, integrity, accessibility, fairness and reputation of Cambridge International assessments.

The main areas of work for the Compliance Group include the processing of access arrangements and special considerations, management of exam security issues and inspections, and the investigation and resolution of suspected exam malpractice.

Due to internal promotion we are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team of great colleagues. We are a dedicated and motivated team, committed to getting it right and delivering the right results for our candidates and schools worldwide on time, first time, every time.

What you'd be doing

In a nutshell, you will be responsible for the delivery, performance and development of processes that fall under your remit - and for the leadership, development, and support of the people delivering them. You'll work closely with your teams to ensure high standards of quality and consistency are met.

Key accountabilities:
  • The leadership and management of teams of staff within Compliance.
  • The delivery of core processes which are cyclically linked to each exam series.
  • Evaluating evidence, establishing facts and making informed decisions on cases with reference to our regulations. Our work is often complex and a great deal of careful thought is required.
  • Capture and analysis of data to produce recommendations and inform process improvement.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement in our effectiveness and efficiency; ensuring delivery of exam processes consistently and accurately to challenging deadlines.
  • Leading and managing our Safeguarding of Children and Vulnerable Adults process.
