What you will be doing

Our focus for people who need our services is on strength based, person centred assessment and creative support planning making the best use of financial and community resources to promote independence for adults, carers and families. Bridport Locality Team Area Practice Managers have a key role in delivering adult and community services and are responsible for leading and inspiring staff teams, setting quality and performance standards, managing caseloads and budgets and providing quality supervision and coaching to social workers and other members of the team. This is modern team supported by two Area Practice Managers. We are co-located with a community health team, so experience of partnership working with health and experience of working with adults (older people and adults with physical disabilities) would be an advantage.

You should have strong leadership skills and a commitment to leading and inspiring your team to embrace new working practices, a focus on managing budgets and to quality and performance standards.

Other Information

You must have a degree in social work/Occupational Therapy or equivalent, be registered with the HCPC and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.
