West Sussex County Council Children's Social Care has an exciting opportunity within the Professional Practice Team and is looking to recruit a Professional Practice Lead to be based in Worthing, West Sussex. This is a part-time position of 22.2 hours per week (equivalent to 3 days), on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2020.

As a Professional Practice Lead within the Professional Practice Team, you will be supporting staff/students to obtain their social work qualification and/or practice education award. This will include supporting continuous professional development, as well as being available to deliver group supervision, training, mentoring support and information, advice and guidance. The team has a strong and supportive ethos and is committed to the professional development of all members and staff we support.

As a Professional Practice Lead you will deliver first class support to students, managers and practice educators to ensure the best provision of placements and practice for services and for children. You will have completed the Practice Educator Award and be enthusiastic about support learning in others and have a passion for supporting quality social work practice. Through your own experience of being a practice educator you will have some understanding of the supports required within placement and within the academic environment.
