What are we offering?
Flexible, part time roles within the PPU offer the opportunity to directly support DExEU’s ever evolving agenda. You will undertake short term postings, embedding themselves within a directorate to support and manage new policy and delivery priorities, as well as areas that require additional resources. We aim to meet the changing business needs and priorities of the department, while providing team members with the best opportunities for individual development, gaining new skills through a variety of projects and working with a number of teams within DExEU.
You will be involved in the delivery of a range of important, consequential and historic policies in areas that are a priority for the UK government and of wider national interest. The roles offer the opportunity to work with stakeholders at the most senior levels, including Ministers.
We are looking for highly motivated problem solvers with an enthusiastic approach to their work. To be successful in the role of senior policy advisor you will:
●Be an excellent communicator, skilled in analysing evidence with the ability to succinctly distill key messages for a range of audiences;
●Be comfortable with moving between projects:
●Work flexibly and adapt to a variety of team environments, building networks and collaborating with colleagues to achieve your objectives;
●Positively embrace change; successfully delivering short term projects within the department’s highest priority areas;
●Motivate and empower PPU Policy Advisors working in other teams across DExEU to support their development and achieve their goals; and
●Be responsible for delivering PPU corporate objectives and positively contribute to the development of the PPU
