An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Channel Manager to lead on the sales and distribution strategy for Linguaskill , a flagship learning and assessment product from Cambridge Assessment English.

Reporting to the Head of Adult & Higher Education, you will drive the development of the Linguaskill sales channel strategy across mature, emerging and new markets to create a robust and future-proofed route to market to support the delivery of revenue targets.

What y ou 'l l be do i ng

Working closely with our global sales network, the Linguaskill Global Product Manager and marketing colleagues, you will have responsibility for channel development for Linguaskill which will include:

  • Ensuring the Linguaskill product proposition is fully understood across the global sales network and thorough market analysis is done to identify optimum sectors and opportunities for growth.
  • Defining and implementing successful ways of working to develop sales and distribution channels for Linguaskill .
  • Supporting regional commercial heads with new partner negotiations by ensuring the Linguaskill product pricing, competitive positioning and product support models are fully considered.
  • Ensuring due diligence is executed with prospective new channel partners and thorough business and go-to-market plans are developed leading up to contractual negotiations.
  • Developing KPIs for Linguaskill channel partners and key accounts in collaboration with the global network and ensuring KPIs are tracked and communicated.
  • Maintaining an overview of the global and regional sales and distribution priorities to build a comprehensive Linguaskill channel development strategy

What we're looking for

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent by experience.
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Development or similar.
  • 6 years experience of driving business development, channel development and/or marketing initiatives, ideally in the EdTech sector.
  • Strong financial acumen; highly numerate and analytical; able to, understand and communicate insights effectively from varied data sources.
  • Driven, highly motivated and passionate about driving for sales success.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Ability to influence individuals at all levels.
  • Collaborative.
  • Displays a great determination to get things done effectively and to deadlines.
  • Takes initiative on finding innovative solutions to meet and exceed targets.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment, taking decisions quickly and identifying resources to move projects forward.
  • Driven to succeed for the good of the business.
  • Demonstrable experience of negotiating relationships with and managing channel sales partnerships.
  • Experience of working in matrixed, virtual team environment
