Put your stamp on Christmas
Temporary Christmas roles at Royal Mail
Here at Royal Mail, Christmas is our busiest time of year. With so many parcels and letters coming through our warehouse doors, it’s no surprise that we need a few thousand extra helping hands to get everything where it needs to go. That’s why, every year, we hire temporary Mail Centre workers from all different walks of life to help us deliver Christmas across the UK.
Our flexible working environment
We understand that flexibility of hours is important. Each of our Mail Centres offer a range of shifts, so finding something that suits you should be simple. At most centres, the typical shifts we have available are: Earlies (0600 – 1400), Lates (1400 – 2200), Nights (2200 – 0600) and Weekends (Various).
Unwrap a new role
Just like Mr & Mrs Claus, you will help to deliver Christmas to everybody in the UK! Flexible and adaptable at all times, you will be doing a very important job. You’ll be helping us unload mail and parcels from our vans, moving them around our warehouses and then sorting them so they arrive at their destination safely – sometimes sorting over a million items in a single shift with your team!
Show us your spirit
Our warehouses run best when they’re full of people who bring a little individual sparkle to their role. For us, being proactive and detail-focused is more important than whether you have previous experience or not. As long as you are comfortable standing for long periods of time and able to meet the fast-paced, physical nature of our centres, you’re good to go. If you have experience in warehouse or sorting work, with the likes of Amazon or another distribution company, then you are definitely on our good list too! So, if being part of a culturally inclusive company and keeping busy sounds like you, come and join us.
Five centuries in business has made us more than a household name. We connect all sorts of companies, customers and communities across the country, delivering a ‘one-price-goes-anywhere’, universal postal service to more than 29 million addresses across the UK.
We are an inclusive employer with equality, diversity and fairness at the heart of our values. We welcome applications from individuals from all different backgrounds and are committed to promoting fair participation and equality of opportunity for all of our job applicants.
Each of our Mail Centres offer a range of shifts, so finding something that suits you should be simple too. To register your interest, please click the ‘Apply’ button below and search by location.
