OCR Product Support provides resources, training and other digital services to help teachers deliver the whole range of OCR qualifications. Within Product Support, the Continuous Professional Development Team is dedicated to managing and delivering professional development events for teachers across the year. The annual busy events programme is launched in September, after the team have engaged trainers, commissioned materials, and worked with our venue agency to make events available for booking.

Training events are an essential part of the OCR support programme, and provide teachers with an opportunity to engage directly with assessors. You'll lead the CPD Team to deliver an excellent and timely service.

What you'll be doing
As CPD Delivery Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of professional development training for teachers of OCR's qualifications, managing the events team and supporting them in running our annual training programme. You will manage the overall success of the programme to time and budget, including engagement with trainers and management of venues, and reporting on key metrics.
You'll also be responsible for the overall quality of the delegate experience, assessing this through feedback and sponsoring improvements.

What we're looking for
We are looking for an experienced people manager who is customer service driven. Able to motivate and maintain the focus of a team who engage trainers, commission materials, and work with our venue agency to make events available for booking.

You will have good IT skills and the communication skills which allow you to influence internal customers and stakeholders. You'll have a good understanding of budget management and comfortable compiling reports to a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have overall responsibility for a team which manage bulk processes, so a strong attention to detail is key. You'll be resilient with that 'Can do attitude' in order to manage the season peaks of working within an exam board.

Your ability to motivate and energise team and colleagues will be key as will your ability to work constructively with others.

Working with external stakeholders, you have the opportunity to represent the organisation effectively and professionally. Recognising the importance of this role in the wider OCR Product Support team, you will have the scope to focus on our customers and improve the professional development service we offer.
