We are delighted to be representing an expanding Independent Wealth Management Advisory Firm in North Yorkshire. Due to their ever increasing growth they are now looking to recruit a Trainee Financial Planning Administrator to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity that offers a long term career path within the Financial Services industry. You will be fully supported with the CII exams, however if you are not hungry to move in to a technical role (Paraplanning), and are keen to be a 'Client Support Team Leader' then this could be the ideal role for you!

Working as part of a highly professional team, mainly consisting of Advisers & Paraplanners, this will be the initial support function in a Client Services capacity so will offer excellent scope for autonomy and making the role your own!

The successful candidate will receive exposure to all aspects of the client services administration process by providing a hands-on support function to the company's Financial Advisors and Paraplanners.

After training, responsibilities will include;
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to a high-level financial consultant and clients alike.
  • Production and issuing of client advice, including liaison with product providers and undertaking research.
  • Use of Exchange for research.
  • Prepare and Issue client review documents.
  • Processing of new and existing business from outset through to conclusion.
  • New business research and some report writing may be required
  • Liaising with product providers to ascertain any policy information which may be required for your research

Requirements
  • Previous experience working within and IFA/Wealth Management environment is desirable, but a passion for Financial Services is essential
  • Must have excellent client communication skills and be highly organised & good attention to detail in their work.
  • Must also be able to work under pressure as it's a busy role
  • Ideally have some industry related exams
  • Familiarity with Transact, Wrap Platforms. FE is also preferred, although not essential
  • Excellent report writing skills and a sound understanding of all contract types
