DB Pension Specialist Paraplanner

Location: Harrogate

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000

They are now offering an excellent opportunity for a talented DB Pension Specialist Paraplanner to join their expanding technical team.

  • To review a presented DB Transfer case for the suitability of the advice to transfer.
  • Prepare a written review of the case including the reasoning to proceed or decline the case.
  • Prepare initial calculations (TVAS/TVC) to support the suitability.
  • Liaise with Compliance and provide the dept with all information regarding a case.
  • Discuss results of the review with the planner.
  • Prepare fully compliant Defined Benefit reports for Adviser's clients, supporting the recommendations made.
  • Produce the required supporting documentation including illustrations, key features.
  • Ensure that systems are up to date, Connect and DB Centre case record keeping.
  • Ensure that DB cases are dealt within the specified time scales.
  • Carry out all functions in line with procedures & SLA's
  • Create and maintain the report writing/standard wordings library including a DB Schemes library.
  • Consider the various online facilities and products offered by other product providers and select the ones that would most beneficial for a DB case.
  • Update and maintain the PPU workflow and AO activities as and when required.

The successful candidate will be have previous experience working as a Paraplanner, but ideally with some experience in Final Salary Pensions. Those with a level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning would be at an advantage, but experience is more important for this role. As always having solid communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent attention to detail is essential.
