An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and entrepreneurial Strategy Manger. Supporting the senior leadership teams at Cambridge Assessment to develop and deliver strategic plans, the Strategy Manager will provide insight, analysis and challenge to help us meet our organisational goals.

Reporting to the Strategy Director and partnering with senior leaders, the Strategy Manager tasks are diverse and varied, with collaboration at the heart of everything you do. From reviewing potential strategic investments and partnerships, to leading on discrete strategy projects, the Strategy Manager will be working widely throughout the organisation at all levels.

This is an exciting time to join the strategy team supporting a relatively new leadership team. You will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on how deliver on our goals to be the trusted experts in assessment and learning.

What you'll be doing
• Support senior leadership teams in strategy development and implementation
• Lead the business area through the strategic planning process in partnership with the finance team
• Develop and facilitate sessions on strategy for senior leadership teams and across the organisation
• Lead ad-hoc, cross-Cambridge Assessment strategy projects
• Support key relationships including the partnership with Cambridge University Press
• Identify corporate development opportunities managing diligence and execution
• Support the Strategy Director in managing strategy communications and advising colleagues on strategy.

What we're looking for

• First class or 2:1 degree
• MBA (desirable)

• Highly analytical and numerate with financial modelling skills
• Demonstrated partnership approach; working with and coaching senior stakeholders
• Consulting skills and ability to facilitate and provide advice and feedback to leaders
• Ability to persuade and influence a variety of stakeholders effectively
• Project management skills
• Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills
• Superior working knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint

• Demonstrable Strategy Consulting experience either within a top tier strategy house or in a strategy function of a multinational corporate
• Strategic planning/market research/business development experience
• Executive strategic planning/market research/business development experience (ideally gained in a commercial or consulting organisation).
• Due diligence
• Strategic investment experience

• Action-oriented, versatile, and efficient
• High level of commitment to Cambridge Assessment ethos
• Adaptable to change
