Student Support Advisor Location: London Salary: £ per hour (£21k Pro Rata) Hours: 25 - 30 hours per week (depending on caseload), Mon - Sat (Flexible working) including 1-2 days remote working (depending on caseload) Job type: Fixed Term Contract 7 months with possible extension Our client are a new start-up education agency, with the vision to help students achieve success in their academic journey at University. They would like to offer a keen and enthusiastic individual a great opportunity to join them delivering 1:1 Student Support remotely via phone calls, emails and SMS to students in Post-18 Higher Education. Responsibilities of the Student Support Advisor: •The successful candidate will report directly to the team leader and who will work with you to deliver ongoing support to your student caseload. •managing student caseload to ensure all students are engaged and feel supported •delivering coaching-style conversations via Phone, Whatsapp, Zoom, SMS & Email •helping students to manage their calendar, assessment deadlines •helping create action plans for students throughout the academic year •signposting students' caseload to relevant information and support services •writing up meeting notes and inserting into CRM database •scheduling time relevant communications to students •Supporting students in preparing for assessments and providing both pre and post peer review feedback on their assessment attempts •Undertake administrative tasks required by the director to support company processes and projects and anything else that may be required by the director on an ad hoc basis. Requirements of the Student Support Advisor: Essential •Must have a degree at or above and/ or Post graduate qualification. •Have access to internet at home in order to be able to work remotely •Able to work from our office location in North London - (closest station Seven Sisters Tube Station) •Excellent organisation and administrative skills •Excellent writing skills •Meticulous attention to detail •Able to work independently •Confident telephone manner •Have knowledge of Coaching and/or Mentoring Describe •Previous experience of delivering or receiving coaching style conversations •Ability to speak with a wide range of people, from different cultures and backgrounds •Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint •Good time management and ability to prioritise workload •Understanding of Higher Education Sector Benefits of becoming the Student Support Advisor: •Flexible morning and evening shifts Mon - Sat to fit around your schedule •25 - 30 hours per week depending on Student Caseload •Allowance for remote working 1-2 days a week (depending on Student Caseload) If you feel like you meet the above criteria for the Student Support Advisor, then please apply now!
