Job Title: Supervising Social Worker Location : Elland Office, West Yorkshire Contract Type: Temporary to cover Maternity Leave, Part Time / 30 hours per week Salary : £27,000 - £33,000 pro rata Car Allowance: £3,000 pro rata Start date: This post is due to start in December 2019. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social worker who can demonstrate recent experience in fostering to join our team across the Elland Office covering the Hull and East Riding areas. The ideal candidate will share our ongoing commitment in providing excellence in the quality placements we provide for the children and young people in our care. This is a temporary role to cover maternity cover for up to 12 months. It is a part-time position for 30 hours per week with an actual salary of £21,600 - £26,500 dependent on ; Supervising Social Workers are responsible for managing fostering resources in an allocated area. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting foster carers and their placement's. Your primary responsibility will be providing quality and professional services by supervising and supporting allocated foster carers, their placements and completing necessary documentation. Who we are looking for You will need to be a qualified Social Worker and possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering ; Participation in an evening and weekend on call rota is expected and no additional payment is included. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the ; Essential Criteria Qualified Social Worker (DipSW or CQSW or equivalent) Car driver and access to a vehicle Current registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory council ( HCPC) Recent experience in services for children Demonstrates a working knowledge of, and an understanding of relevant legislation and minimum standards relating to fostering Ability to use ICT effectively to fulfil job responsibilities We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks.
