Head of People Development - experience in HR
We are seeking an experienced HR or people development professional to take up this high profile leadership role at the heart of the Scottish Government. You will be responsible for leading the organisation’s approach to People Development with specific responsibilities for diversity and inclusion, learning services, leadership and team development, senior recruitment and talent management.
You will be a member of the Senior Management Team of the People Directorate and will contribute to our HR transformation programme which is taking us towards a new target operating model and delivering improvements to practice, systems and service.
You will be a senior leader in the Scottish Government and will ensure that people across Scottish Government have the right skills and support to develop themselves and deliver for the people of Scotland. You will lead on delivering our organisational aspirations to be a diverse and inclusive Fair Work employer where everyone can thrive and fulfil their potential.
We are looking for a dedicated professional who can shape a modern approach to learning and development, who can influence at the executive level of the Scottish Government and in the wider Scottish public sector and deliver on an ambitious programme. You will be comfortable with working in a fast-paced and demanding environment which is committed to high levels of transparency, public service values and user design.
This is a permanent and pensionable Senior Civil Service (SCS1) appointment. Relocation expenses may be available.
